Therapy Types

In partnership with Accelerated Care Plus, Rocky Knoll therapists are able to treat a broader range of conditions with a variety of treatment options to achieve superior outcomes. Ongoing education, training, and onsite support assure we are always on the leading edge of therapy. For example, instead of simply managing pain, we are able to treat it. We also have a proven record when it comes to speeding wound healing, lowering and preventing the risk of falls, improving continence, and providing reeducation and recovery after a stroke.

Physical Therapy

Physical is the most common therapy we offer. Many times it is needed following surgery or in response to an injury. Our focus is to restore coordination, balance, strength, endurance, and joint mobility; especially in the hips and knees.

Occupational Therapy

This therapy focuses on daily and leisure activities to allow our guests to return to independent living. Our fully functioning kitchen offers a realistic setting to work through solutions to perform everyday tasks. Occupational therapy may involve learning the use of adaptive equipment.

Speech Therapy

Restoring swallowing to encourage independence during eating is the primary emphasis of speech therapy. Exercises to improve problem solving, memory function, speaking, and listening skills are also a part of the program.
